That is the title from Psalm 131 in my ESV Bible. I opened it as I heard the last verse quoted by Ahok in his letter read by his wife today.
It is amazing to see someone who is strongly grounded in the Lord, it is not without sad. He said it clearly that it’s hard for himself to accept this prison term. But at the same time, he does not dwell on it. I found another video from 5 months ago, asking what would he do if he can turn back the time if he is jailed. He said, he would still do the same thing, and he has no regret to go into politics even as he knows that there will be a day where those who don’t like him will do something to him. He was also asked what would his message be to his supporters if he’s jailed and lost the election. His answer was simple: do not give up.
And today, he said again “put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore”
As my soul is up and down, I hope I can remember him, that it is possible to calm and to quiet my soul even in difficult situations. Ahok also said that “Gusti ora sare” - God never sleeps.
