Hallstatt

Hallstatt turns out to be quite far from Salzburg. We need to take bus to Bad Ischl, and then take train to Hallstatt station followed by a short ferry ride tothe Hallstatt town.

We took lunch first and then look around. Initially I thought that we couldn't go to the popular viewing platform. But from the shop where we bought magnet, we were told to look for the cable car. The waiter at the restaurant was not sure or didn't response to my question on the cable car. Fortunately we found a tourist information station which enable us to find the platform to see the beautiful scenery of Hallstatt from above.

I also learnt that if we do last minute staff, we may miss something. Since I didn't plan and didn't know the timing needed between the platform and the harbor, we missed the ferry which caused us the wait at Bad Ischl.
